What this picture does is bust open the warhammer stereotype. In every fan art and cover illustration the Warhammer40k soldiers are uncaring, often faceless killing machines (if you read the flavor text, they really are that way) but you've shown that in a future where mankind is constantly at war, the emotion can cut through the numbness and still show humanity beneath.

Blood for the blood god? Sure but who's?
Long Live the emperor of mankind? Okay, but at what price?
